Anybody know about any near-ish Albany? Say... no more than a three hour drive? Auctions would be cool, too.

I already know about the Brooklyn Flea, and Brimfield.

I've been to Brimfield, but have not yet been to the Brooklyn Flea.

It's a little spendy, but for a good cause. Anybody up for Japanese next Monday (April 18th)?

It's snowing again here in Albany. Last I heard, we're expected to get another 8+ inches.

The drive in was awful. I swear, nobody around here bothers to plow or salt the roads until it's done snowing. That means that the only thing keeping them even a little clear is the traffic itself. To make matters worse, my windshield wipers were being less than useful. I think it's time for new ones.

Body: So freaking cold. I can't seem to get warm, and the cold is making all of my joints hurt.

Stress Level: 2

Book Review: Finished The Crazy Years by Spider Robinson on Friday night. A truly excellent collection of essays and articles. My only problem with any of them is that they generally were too short. I would have liked to see more detail. Rating: 9 out of 10. Not yet loanable through the Kindle.

Reading: Sunrise Alley by Catherine Asaro

Hearing: Music - right this second, "Empty Chairs at Empty Tables" from my Original London Cast recording of Les Miserables.

Etsy Find: Vintage crystal cordial glasses.

Project Follow-up: Both dropping the car off on Friday and picking it up again on Saturday were more hassle than I wanted. Next time it needs work done I'll take it in early on a weekday morning and use their shuttle to get to work, and the use the shuttle to pick it up again when they're done with it.

Tonight's Project: Dishes, and continuing to untangle the giant mess of yarn so that I can actually make it into a scarf for myself.

Randomness: What's the weather like where you are? Here in the upper Hudson Valley it's absurdly cold. The predicted high is 9F. Ick. They're also predicting another major storm for tomorrow.

Does anyone use this gym? (I'd prefer info on the Crossgates location, but another location is better than none.) What do you think of it?

Mostly I'm concerned with cleanliness and how well maintained it is. Also, what the gym culture is like. Are the staff/other member polite/annoying/friendly/whatever?

Also, have you taken any of the classes they offer? What did you think of them?

A smallish black leather purse.

I have a feeling I was transporting it between Harmony Drive and Albany, but I don't remember in which direction or on who's behalf.

Does anybody out there happen to know?

I'm about 90% sure that this is the store I was telling you about that had the amazing $25 full-length leather coat.

Last night I sent in the check for our share in Denison Farm. I'm hoping that having a steady supply of fresh veggies & fruit will encourage us to actually eat them. It will be interesting to see what we end up with.
