Body: I got enough sleep, and feel well rested, but I think the price was too high (I ended up being almost an hour late). The fingers on my right hand are uncomfortably stiff and my right shoulder is bothering me.

Reading: I started The Sari Shop Widow. (It was a Kindle freebie a while ago.) So far it's a pretty standard mainstream/romance novel, but it's fairly well written and is about a part of American society I don't know much about, which makes it more interesting. If nothing else, it's a nice change of pace.

Hearing: The Commonwealth Club of California for the first couple hours here, then music. So far my iPod has been in a blues sort of mood.

Etsy find: Unusual Opal Earrings

Project Follow-up: I walked and dropped the check for this year's farm share at the post office.

Tonight's Project: Walking, and a stop at the grocery store for cookie supplies. I forgot to check what I need, so I'm just going to get eggs, peanut butter, and peanut butter chips. I'm pretty sure I have enough flour, sugar, and chocolate.

Randomness: If you were to have (more) kids what names would you give them? Personally, I like Margaret (who would of course be known as Meg) for a girl and Richard (Rick) for a boy. Middle names are trickier, but I sort of like the sound of Margaret Susan and Richard Edward. I also like Eleanor (Nell) and Jacob. Then there are the names I like, but for one reason or another would never use. For example, I love the name Virginia and would love to name a child after my Grandmother, but the only good nickname for Virginia is Ginny, and that's just too similar to Jenny. Frederick is another name I really like, but I hate both Fred and Freddy as nicknames. There are also the names I like that are already in use by family/close friends: Elizabeth, Emily, Charles, Edward (as a first name), Robert, James... the list goes on.

Future Children Names:
Girl names - Violet, Charlotte (lottie), Cecelia (tho prolly not that one).

Boy names - Oliver

I like Charlotte. I can definitely understand not using Cecelia though. It would still make a nice middle name though.

The problem with Charlotte is that it is the feminine version of Charles. In essence I'd be naming my children the same name.

But that doesn't totally bother me espescially if the nickname of the girl is Lottie.

Heh, Jeff doesn't like Violet because he thinks I shouldn't name my child after my favorite color. But I think Violet would sound really good with the other girls in the house. Nice old-English names.

Maybe Rose, or some other flower name? Not quite the same, but at least it has a similar feel.

Rose would definitely be a family name on my side. That was my grandma who died before I was born. My middle name, Ross, is after her. (My niece's middle name is also Rose.)

Justin Matthew was what I had picked out from grade school as my first child's name.

I married a Dustin Matthew, and put that name on a shelf forever.

I love Sarah, and Alison, and Gwen. And Jack, Keith and Thomas. I dunno as I shall acquire said podlings, but hey, the names are nice to have sometimes.

They are all very nice names. I think Alison is my favorite on your list.

Aren't they great? I love that they're silver, most people put opals with gold.

Vivian was a name we considered, after my father-in-law's mother, but went with Virginia instead (Gwennie's middle name).

And I kind of pushed Dennis as a name for awhile, before we decided Jack had a much nicer ring to it. We were right. :)

I really like Vivian, and it does sort of fall in the same niche as Virginia. One for me to keep in mind.

The only Dennis I can ever picture is The Menace, which isn't really an image I'd want associated with my kid.
