Wednesday Is In The Middle
Mar. 10th, 2010 02:45 pmBody: I got enough sleep, and feel well rested, but I think the price was too high (I ended up being almost an hour late). The fingers on my right hand are uncomfortably stiff and my right shoulder is bothering me.
Reading: I started The Sari Shop Widow
. (It was a Kindle freebie a while ago.) So far it's a pretty standard mainstream/romance novel, but it's fairly well written and is about a part of American society I don't know much about, which makes it more interesting. If nothing else, it's a nice change of pace.
Hearing: The Commonwealth Club of California for the first couple hours here, then music. So far my iPod has been in a blues sort of mood.
Etsy find: Unusual Opal Earrings
Project Follow-up: I walked and dropped the check for this year's farm share at the post office.
Tonight's Project: Walking, and a stop at the grocery store for cookie supplies. I forgot to check what I need, so I'm just going to get eggs, peanut butter, and peanut butter chips. I'm pretty sure I have enough flour, sugar, and chocolate.
Randomness: If you were to have (more) kids what names would you give them? Personally, I like Margaret (who would of course be known as Meg) for a girl and Richard (Rick) for a boy. Middle names are trickier, but I sort of like the sound of Margaret Susan and Richard Edward. I also like Eleanor (Nell) and Jacob. Then there are the names I like, but for one reason or another would never use. For example, I love the name Virginia and would love to name a child after my Grandmother, but the only good nickname for Virginia is Ginny, and that's just too similar to Jenny. Frederick is another name I really like, but I hate both Fred and Freddy as nicknames. There are also the names I like that are already in use by family/close friends: Elizabeth, Emily, Charles, Edward (as a first name), Robert, James... the list goes on.
